Gent have announced the signing of 20-year-old Marley Felix from Lyon. The 20-year-old played for Lyon since 2013 and spent last season with the B team. He has signed a two-year-contract with the Buffaloes. Felix is a central defender who has played for France U17.
The Belgian side have announced that Felix will initially play for their second team, known as Jong Gent. However, last year there were a handful of players who made the step up to the first team from Jong Gent. The side also suffered a number of injuries to defenders, which if repeated could see Felix given a chance with the main squad.
The side have also recently announced that young talented left-winger Malick Fofana has signed a new deal. The 18-year-old has signed a deal that will see him with the club till at least 2026, although he may well become the subject of transfer interest from clubs abroad should he continue to develop.
