Manchester United consider move for former Aston Villa and PSV winger Anwar El Ghazi

According to Mail Sport, Manchester United are surprisingly interested in signing former Aston Villa winger Anwar El Ghazi. The two-time Netherlands international is currently a free agent after leaving PSV Eindhoven by mutual consent less than two weeks ago. Manchester United are reportedly searching for a new winger amid allegations made against Antony and uncertainty surrounding the future of Jadon Sancho.

El Ghazi kicked off his professional career with Ajax. The 28-year-old scored 23 goals and provided 28 assists in exactly 100 appearances for the Dutch giants. A move to Lille followed for the forward, and after two impressive seasons in the French top flight, he joined Aston Villa. Anwar El Ghazi scored 26 goals and provided 16 assists within 119 appearances for Villa. In 2022 he joined Everton on loan, before returning to the Netherlands to play for PSV.

Manchester United are showing serious interest in Anwar El Ghazi, and a move for the winger could be made if the Antony and Sancho situations aren’t resolved. El Ghazi reportedly received offers from Saudi Arabia during the summer, but United could give him the opportunity to resume his career in the Premier League.
