Manchester United are confident that transfer target Antony wants to leave Ajax and join them.
Man Utd have been interested in signing Antony all summer and that interest has ramped up in recent days.
It has been reported that the British club have submitted an offer amounting to €80 million, which Ajax rejected.
The Eredivisie champions have been adamant that they intend to keep the Brazilian winger, but doing so could be more difficult if he tries to force the move.
It seems as if he could do so too as, according to Fabrizio Romano, Man Utd are confident that he does want to join them.
He has yet to make such a desire public or hand in a transfer request, but if he doesn’t want to play for the Amsterdam club, they may well be tempted to accept an offer of around €100 million.
Whether Man Utd are willing to pay that amount remains to be seen.
