Liverpool begin negotiations with Bayern Munich over potential permanent signing of Ryan Gravenberch

According to David Ornstein, Liverpool are in negotiations with Bayern Munich over the permanent signing of Ryan Gravenberch. The 21-year-old is said to be keen on the move, but Bayern want to bring in a replacement before letting the Dutch midfielder leave. A deal is not yet close and there is no guarantee it will go ahead, but discussions are ongoing.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich are currently in conversation over a price tag. The German champions paid around €18.5m for Gravenberch, who joined from Ajax last summer. Things didn’t go too well for 11–time Netherlands international, as he featured just 24 times in the Bundesliga last season and started only three of those games.

Now, the central midfielder reportedly wants a Premier League move. Manchester United had recently registered their interest in Gravenberch but they’re prioritising Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat. Liverpool want one more midfielder before the summer transfer window shuts, having already signed Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo. Ryan Gravenberch is their top target.
