Liverpool and Manchester United remain interested in Ryan Gravenberch despite Bayern Munich insisting he is not for sale

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool and Manchester United remain interested in Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch. A move for the midfielder depends on Bayern, who are still not looking to let the Dutchman leave. Having struggled for game time in Germany, Gravenberch could be keen to leave the club this summer.

A year ago, Ryan Gravenberch was seen as one of the most exciting young prospects in Europe. Now, at 21 years old that status seems to slowly be disappearing due to a lack of minutes. The midfielder kicked off his career at Ajax where he rose through the ranks in the youth academy, before making 103 first team appearances. Last summer, he joined Bayern for €18.5m.

Gravenberch featured 24 times in the Bundesliga last season. Only three of those appearances were in the starting lineup. Now, Liverpool and Manchester United have registered their interest and despite Bayern’s stance, a move could still go ahead. Liverpool have already brought in Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Waturo Endo to bolster their midfield. As for Manchester United, they’ve spent nearly €200m on new signings this transfer window. A permanent move could be tricky for the Red Devils.
