Leeds and AC Milan target Noa Lang is the silver lining in Club Brugge’s struggles

With just one win in their last 11 games, Club Brugge are struggling. They are failing to turn draws into wins and do not look like a side that has won back to back to back titles. One player, however, throughout this period appears to be regaining form. Noa Lang burst onto the scene at the side when he joined in 2020, scoring 16 goals and providing 7 assists. The following season his goal scoring numbers dropped to seven in the league, but his assists grew to 12.

However, the player requested a transfer and was benched as a result, with Lang wanting to avoid injury that would cost him a move away. Yet this move never materialised, and Lang has remained. Over the past few weeks, while the goals and assists are hardly flowing, his performances are starting to pick up and he looks to be back to the level that saw him linked with transfers abroad.

Against Benfica in the Champions League he was by far and away the best player in Black and Blue. He completed 12 of his 15 dribbles, an impressive 80%. This is even more noteworthy when you consider he was operating as the central striker and had to alternate between dropping deeper to support the midfield or look to run in behind.

Lang has in recent years been linked with a move to Leeds and AC Milan. If he continues to play at this level, a move in the summer is certainly on the cards for Lang.
