Lazio agree personal terms with AZ Alkmaar left-back Milos Kerkez

Fabrizio Romano reports that Lazio have agreed personal terms with Milos Kerkez. The AZ Alkmaar left-back has chosen Lazio as his next destination and both clubs will continue negotiating next week to get the deal done. Benfica, Bournemouth and OGC Nice were also interested in the 19-year-old, but it looks like he’ll be playing in Serie A next season.

Milos Kerkez is one of the hottest prospects in Europe at the moment. The teenager moved from AC Milan’s academy to AZ Alkmaar in January 2022. Since then he’s featured 57 times in all competitions for the Dutch club, scoring five goals and providing eight assists. The Hungarian international was also part of the AZ squad that beat Lazio in both legs of the Europa Conference League round of 16. Kerkez scored the winner in the first leg.

Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri is said to be very fond of Milos Kerkez and hopes to have the player in his selection soon. The deal is expected to be done next week despite interest from several other top European clubs. It’s yet to be confirmed how much Lazio will pay for the left-back.
