LA Galaxy keen on signing Hirving Lozano despite the Mexican winger’s recent return to PSV Eindhoven

According to Fabrizio Romano, LA Galaxy remain interested in Hirving Lozano as the MLS side have included the Mexican in their plans for 2024. Lozano was in talks with LA Galaxy last summer but he eventually opted for a return to PSV Eindhoven.

Lozano kicked off his career with Mexican side Pachuca before joining PSV in the summer of 2017. The 28-year-old’s first spell in Eindhoven proved to be incredibly successful. During his first season he netted 17 times and provided 11 assists in 29 Eredivisie appearances. The following season he accumulated exactly the same numbers within 30 Eredivisie appearances. The 66-time Mexico international quickly became a fan favourite at the Philips Stadion.

Last season, Hirving Lozano helped Napoli lift their first Serie A title since the 89/90 season. After slightly slipping down the pecking order towards the end of the season, Lozano returned to PSV. So far this season he’s scored five goals and provided two assists in eight league appearances, helping Peter Bosz’s side maintain their 100% start to the campaign.

For the meantime, LA Galaxy will remain an option for Hirving Lozano. His current contract at PSV is valid until 2028, which means the Los Angeles side will have to meet an asking price if they make a move for the winger in 2024.
