KV Mechelen need to rectify away form against the worst home side in Belgium

If you based the Belgian Pro League table on away games only, KV Mechelen would be second bottom with just seven points from 12 games. On the other hand, if you based the table on home form, the side would be seventh with 23 points from 14 games.

This weekend they travel to RFC Seraing, the team with the worst home record in the Belgian Pro League. In 13 games, they have won just one home game, their recent victory over OH Leuven, drawn three and lost nine. The Liege based side have only scored seven goals in 13 games at home, which should give a Mechelen side that has conceded 23 away goals some hope.

For the overall table, injury hit Mechelen cannot afford to drop points against Seraing. With them being eight points clear of the drop zone, another two or three wins will certainly be enough to guarantee another season in the top flight. Malinwa can certainly not afford to pass up the opportunity presented to them this weekend.
