Kortrijk to appoint Ed Still if Kaminski takeover goes through

While there are still questions around why the agreed sale of Kortrijk has still not gone through, Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that should the Kaminski Group come good on their financial promise, they will appoint Ed Still as head coach. Still, brother of Will Still who manages in Ligue 1 with Stade Reims, spent last season at both Charleroi and Eupen. He was relieved of his duties at Charleroi after an indifferent start. Over the winter he was brought in at Eupen to keep them up, and despite a heavy defeat to Club Brugge on the last day of the season the side did survive. However, the side opted for a new head coach and have appointed Florian Kohfeldt for the 2023/2024 season.

The Kaminski Group have agreed a purchase of Kortrijk with current owner Vincent Tan for a reported €17m. However, the money has not materialised, causing concern amongst fans. Tan has issued a warning to the group that should the money not have exchanged hands by the 6th of July, he may pursue legal action.
