Kortrijk sign former Hull City target alongside Zulte Waregem’s Abdoulaye Sissako

Kortrijk have announced two new signings in the past 24 hours. The first was Zulte Waregem’s 25-year-old French central midfielder Abdoulaye Sissako. Kortrijk have been in need of a more defensive minded midfielder and Sissako will fit the bill. Last season he played 31 times for Zulte Waregem, scoring once and providing one assist as the side were relegated on the final day of the season.

Kortrijk have also announced the signing of Guadeloupe international Thierry Ambrose. The former Manchester City youth player had been subject of interest from Hull City earlier in the year. Kortrijk seem to have beaten the Yorkshire side to the signing of the 26-year-old from Oostende, another side who were relegated last season. During his time on the Belgian coast, Ambrose scored 15 goals in 65 games.

Kortrijk have lost all three of their opening games, including a 6-0 humbling at the hands of defending champions Antwerp last Friday night.
