Kortrijk set to sign Zambian international in bid to avoid relegation

HLN are reporting that Kortrijk are set to sign Zambian international Kings Kangwa from FK Crvena Zvezda. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder will be brought in to help attempt to save Kortrijk from relegation to the Challenger Pro League. Kangwa was part of the Zambia squad that failed to get beyond the group stages at AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire, yet the midfielder did manage to score a goal against DR Congo.

Kangwa began his career with Buildcon before joining Arsenal Tula in Russia in 2019. Between 2019 and 2022 he played 55 times for the club, scoring six goals. In July 2022 he left Russia and joined FK Crvena Zvezda. Since joining the Serbian giants he has played 56 times, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists.

For Zambia, Kangwa has played 21 times, scoring five goals. He joins a Kortrijk side currently bottom of the Belgian Pro League, but they are currently unbeaten in three games.
