Kortrijk reject €6m offer from Ajax for highly rated Algerian midfielder

HLN are reporting that Kortrijk have rejected an offer of €6m from Ajax for their highly rated young midfielder Abdelkahar Kadri. The 23-year-old Algerian was given the captains armband this season and has been offered an improve contract to remain at the club. Kortrijk are hopeful, according to HLN, that another season of good performances in Belgium could see them sell the midfielder for a lot more than Ajax have offered.

In the sides first game of the season, Kadri was already amongst the goal scorers as he gave the side a shock lead away to Gent, In the end, the side lost 3-2, but Kadri had added his seventh goal for the club in 43 games. Kadri has been caped three times by the Algerian national team and began his career with Paradou AC in the north African country. He joined Kortrijk the summer of 2021 but was unfortunately injured for the first half of the 2022/2023 season. He only managed 16 games last season, but was a catalyst for them remaining in the league. He scored four goals and provided one assist.
