Kortrijk looking to bring in Anderlecht midfielder on loan

Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Kortrijk are in talks with Anderlecht about a loan move for Norwegian youngster Kristian Arnstad. With the arrival of Mats Rits and Thomas Delaney in Brussels, the prospect of getting game time has diminished for the 20-year-old. Of the five games played so far, Arnstad has just made two appearances, with one being a start. The highly regarded central midfielder has played 54 times for Anderlecht, scoring once and providing two assists.

Kortrijk have yet to win this season and are set to be acquired by Burnley. Vincent Kompany was a fan of the young Arnstad, having given him four starts during the 2021/2022 play-offs. It is likely that he will have advised the new owners of the qualities that the midfielder possesses and how that could help Kortrijk avoid relegation. the Kerels picked up their first point of the season at the weekend in a 1-1 draw with fellow strugglers Standard Liege.
