Kortrijk boost defence with loan signing of Charleroi teenager Martin Wasinski

Kortrijk have announced the signing of teenage central defender Martin Wasinski from Charleroi until the end of the season. Wasinski has made 8 appearances for Charleroi this season and made his professional debut during the 2021/2022 season. Overall, Wasinski has made 24 appearances for the Zebras in two seasons and has been capped at Belgian youth level.

Wasinski becomes Kortrijk’s third signing of the winter transfer window, with Hertha Berlin young defender Christalino Atemona and winger Martin Regali from Slovakian side Ruzomberok.

The side are also hopeful that they will be able to move some players on in January. Didier Lamkel Ze, Aleksandr Radovanovic, Alexandre De Bruyn and Amine Benchaib have all been placed on the transfer list, with Radovanovic, De Bruyn and Benchaib training with the B team.

Kortrijk are currently on their third manager of the season, with former Eupen head coach Bernd Storck taking over from Adnan Custovic.
