Voetbalkrant are reporting that both Kortrijk and OH Leuven are interested in signing the cousin of Manchester City star Erling Braut Haaland. Strømsgodset striker Jonatan Braut Brunes is the cousin of the famous Norwegian forward and plays in the Eliteserien. This season he has scored five goals and provided two assists in 15 games for the side that sit in 10th place. Braut Brunes only joined the side last summer, midway through the season, from then title challenging Lillestrøm.
The 22-year-old striker has played for a handful of other clubs in the country since beginning his career at his local side Bryne. He currently has a contract with Strømsgodset until 2025, with Transfermarkt valuing him at around €600k. During his time at his current side, the forward has scored 13 goals in 32 games. This is the most goals he has scored for a single side since the 12 in 16 he scored for IK Start, where he was on loan for the beginning of the 2022 season. Start were in the second tier of Norwegian football, with Strømsgodset then taking him into the first tier.
Kortrijk have recently announced a new striker, with Cardiff City forward Isaak Davies joining on loan for a season. OH Leuven currently only have one recognised striker in Nathan Opoku in the squad.
