Reports from Voetbal International have revealed that Dutch national coach Ronald Koeman has decided not to include Joshua Zirkzee and Justin Kluivert for the Nations League match against Hungary. It seems that neither player is on the UEFA list.
Koeman said at the press conference on Friday that two players would be eliminated, because only 23 players are allowed in the match selection. He did not want to say which ones, but now it appears that they are Zirkzee and Kluivert.
Kluivert last played an international match six years ago, while Zirkzee was in the starting line-up once in the last international period and came on as a substitute against Germany. Koeman has made room in the selection for Donyell Malen, Cody Gakpo, Noa Lang and Ajax players Brian Brobbey and Wout Weghorst.
The Oranje play against Hungary on Saturday at 8:45 p.m. at the Johan Cruyff Arena. Next Tuesday, they face Bosnia and Herzegovina.
