Ruben Kluivert dreams of the Premier League, as well as playing with or against his brother Justin

Ruben Kluivert completed a successful transfer to Olympique Lyon this summer and hopes to one day shine in the Premier League, according to comments to Voetbal International.

Following the 16 matches for FC Utrechtโ€™s first team as he emerged from their youth ranks, Kluivertโ€™s trip to Lyon passed through FC Dordrecht and Casa Pia AC. With his steady rise, the 24-year-old central defender remains curious about what lies ahead.

โ€œI think you should always keep dreaming. Iโ€™ve always said I hope to play in the Premier League one day, but first I have to prove myself here.โ€

Heโ€™d also love to face his brother one day. โ€œWith or against Justin, I donโ€™t care,โ€ he laughs. โ€œIf I play against him, heโ€™s not going to have a good afternoon either way. Iโ€™ll take him back to the old days for a moment, because sometimes I just couldnโ€™t get him off the ball. That keeps going through my head, I need to get it out.โ€

In other news, Kluivert has already been approached about playing for Suriname or Curaรงao, but those countries will have to wait a little longer as he has bigger plans.

โ€œPlaying for the Dutch national team with Justin would be the ultimate dream for me. This step brings it a little closer. Iโ€™ve always kept working hard and believing I can do it. Iโ€™m proud of myself for making it this far, but I certainly wonโ€™t stop here.โ€
