Killian Sardella has been rewarded for his performances with Anderlecht over the past few seasons by being called up to the provisional Belgian squad. The final squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures will be announced on Friday and Sardella does have a chance of making the final cut. Belgium are not the only side interested in having the 22-year-old represent them at international level.
As reported by Het Nieuwsblad, Cameroon are also interested. The side, coached by former OH Leuven head coach Marc Brys, have been in contact with the defenders agent. However, ahead of the Europa League clash with RFS, Sardella said his preference is to represent Belgium. The right-back qualifies for the African nation through his mother, although he said that his mother has not tried to influence his decision.
Sardella has already been capped at multiple youth levels by the Red Devils. He is under contract with Anderlecht until 2028 and has made 122 appearances for the side, scoring one goal.
