Ki-Jana Hoever’s returns to Wolves early from PSV Eindhoven loan spell

PSV Eindhoven have ended the loan deal of defender Ki-Jana Hoever, with the player returning to his parent club Wolves in the Premier League, Voetbal International reports

The loan spell has been a disappointing one with the 21-year-old seeing his season-long loan at the Philips Stadion cut short to just six months at the Eredivisie club.

Hoever, who was snapped up by Wolves from the Ajax youth academy, made 10 appearances in all competitions for Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side including starting the Johan Cruyff Shield at the start of the season against his former club.

The young right-back seemed eager to make an impact at the club but that didn’t happen under Van Nistelrooy, with the coach preferring Jordan Teze on the right-side of the back four.

It is unclear what the next steps are for Hoever, who returns to a Wolves side who have changed managers since he left for the Netherlands in the summer with Julen Lopetegui replacing Bruno Lage.
