Juventus are to offer a contract to Barcelona’s Memphis Depay, who is negotiating free agency with his current club.
With Barcelona having financial problems as well as a surplus of attackers following the signings of Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, they’re keen to offload Memphis who would be willing to leave to be a more important player at another top club.
Juventus have been the most interested party throughout the transfer window, and a move to the Italian club became more likely than ever when it emerged that, after initially wanting €20 million for the forward, his current club entered negotiations that would allow him to leave on a free transfer.
Following that development, Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Italian giants are set to offer Memphis a contract having pushed to sign him since July.
The journalist added that whether the move takes place or not depends on whether Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leaves Barcelona for Chelsea.
He has reportedly been keen to stay at the Spanish club though, with Memphis leaving for Juve the seemingly more likely scenario.
