Juventus in talks with Barcelona to sign Memphis Depay

Juventus are interested in bringing Memphis Depay to the club and have entered preliminary talks with his current club, Barcelona.

Memphis joined the Spanish giants last year and enjoyed a fairly strong first season, scoring 12 goals in 28 games in La Liga.

However, with Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski being signed, Xavi has informed the Dutchman that he’s not part of his plans for the upcoming campaign and that the club are open to selling him.

A number of sides have reportedly been interested, including Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and the Milan clubs, but a move to Juventus now looks most likely with ESPN reporting the Old Lady have started discussing a move with Barcelona.

A deal would reportedly cost the Italian side €20 million, with the player himself said to be keen on the move after apparently turning down Spurs.

On paper, the 28-year-old would be the perfect replacement for Paulo Dybala, who has left for Roma. Roberto Firmino is also of interest to Max Allegri and co in that department, but Memphis seems more likely to join.
