John Textor uses RWDM to buy Ernest Nuamah for Olympique Lyonnais, breaking Belgian transfer record in the process

RWDM have broken the Belgian transfer record with the signing of Ernest Nuamah, The 19-year-old winger from Ghana will not be featuring in Belgium anytime soon however, as he has been immediately loaned to Olympique Lyonnais. Many, such as HLN, are reporting that the signing of around €30m has just become part of a way of getting around financial fair play in France by the sides President, John Textor. The American has hands in both clubs, alongside a wider portfolio of sides which includes Crystal Palace.

Nuamah has already been capped at senior level by Ghana and played 49 games for Danish side FC Nordsjælland, scoring 21 goals. Last season, the winger played 30 games for the side, scoring 12 goals and providing four assists. This season he has already scored five goals in four games, providing one assist.

His new side Lyon have had a poor start to the season. They have not won a game, losing two and drawing one, including a 4-1 defeat at home to Montpellier.
