Inter scouts keep an eye on Zeno Debast as Anderlecht draw with Antwerp

As reported by Het Nieuwsblad, Inter sent scouts to watch Anderlecht’s recent game with Antwerp. They were there to cast an eye over young Belgian central defender Zeno Debast, who has emerged this season as one of the leagues hottest talents. It is unlikely that Anderlecht will entertain any chance of Debast leaving this winter, despite the clubs need for finances.

Debast has been ever present for Anderlecht this season, playing all 23 league games. His league form saw him called up to the Belgian World Cup squad, but he failed to make an appearance.

Anderlecht are set to add Harry Toffolo to their squad, the second signing this transfer window after Anders Dreyer joined.

At the other end, Anderlecht are looking to sell to ease their poor financial situation. Wesley Hoedt has been linked with Watford, while youngster Julien Duranville has moved to Dortmund for €10m plus add-ons.

Top scorer Fabio Silva, departed for PSV, with youngster Lucas Stassin also heavily linked with a move across the other border to France. Anouar Ait El Hadj opted to remain in Belgium, joining league leaders Genk.
