Inter keen on Canada and Club Brugge’s Tajon Buchanan to replace Denzel Dumfries

Gazzetta Dello Sport are reporting that Inter are interested in bringing Tajon Buchanan to Milan to replace Denzel Dumfries, who may be leaving in January. The paper reports that the club were interested in Buchanan before the World Cup, with his impressive performances for the national team adding to the impression that he would be a good replacement for Dumfries.

Buchanan joined Club Brugge from New England Revolution for around 6 million euros in January of 2022. The winger has impressed this season with the defending champions, putting in solid displays both domestically and in the Champions League. His ability to contribute in both defensive and attacking phases of the game is what has stood out most.

Buchanan played in all of Canada’s World Cup matches in Qatar, providing an assist for Alphonso Davies opening goal against Croatia.

Gazzetta were also interested in Genk’s Angelo Preciado, however they now consider that Buchanan would be a better fit physically than the Ecuadorian full-back.
