Instant impact for Myron Boadu on return to Eredivisie

Myron Boadu needed just a minute to make an instant impact for his new side FC Twente. The on loan Monaco striker scored just a minute after coming off the bench as Twente ran out 3-0 winners of RKC Waalwijk. The former AZ Alkmaar star came on after 78 minutes and made it 2-0 thanks to an assist from Youri Regeer. Twente’s victory means they remain in third place, with a six point lead over Boadu’s former Dutch club.

Boadu decided to return to the Eredivisie from Ligue 1 in also to get more playing time. So far this season for Monaco he had only made nine appearances off the bench, with one goal scored in the league. He had also played once during the Coupe de France campaign. Between 2017 and 2021 while at AZ he scored 38 goals in 88 games, catching the attention of Monaco. However, since joining the Ligue 1 side in the summer of 2021, he has played 68 games and scored 10 goals.
