Gus Til is in fantastic form for PSV. The 27-year-old has scored an impressive eight goals in 17 games so far this season, with three assists as well. In an interview with ESPN, the forward talked about his inspiration and his ambitions. He mentioned having watched Harry Kane to pick up tips, before looking ahead to next summer. Til was not part of the recent Dutch squad, but he hopes that a strong season for PSV can get him on the plane.
When asked about the World Cup, the PSV striker said โIf you donโt have that ambition, I donโt think you belong playing at the top of the Dutch national teamโ. So far, Til has only earned six caps for the national team.
Til joined PSV back in 2022 from Spartak Moscow, following a season on loan in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord. Til joined PSV off the back of a fantastic season in the Dutch top flight with 21 goals in 49 games. Since joining PSV, Til has played 152 games for the side, scoring 44 goals. His best campaign was his first, when he grabbed 13 in 46. He looks set to beat that record this season which may well be enough to get him to the World Cup.
