Heerenveen reject Adana Demirspor offer for out of favour Andries Noppert

VI are reporting that Heerenveen have rejected an offer from Turkish side Adana Demirspor for now out of favour goalkeeper Andries Noppert. The former Netherlands number one recently lost his place as the sides first choice goalkeeper, but they still want to keep him at the club. Adana Demirspor wanted to sign the player on loan until the end of the season with a purchase option included. Turkish sides are still able to sign players for the next few days.

After the sides 2-2 draw against AZ Alkmaar, Noppert was dropped in favour of 29-year-old Mickey van der Hart. However, their defensive record took another hit this weekend as they conceded three times away to Fortuna Sittard. Thankfully for Heerenveen, one goal from Osame Sahraoui an a brace from Luuk Brouwers meant the game ended 3-3. The side are now sitting in 13th place in the Eredivisie, seven points clear of RKC Waalwijk in the relegation play-off spot.
