Heerenveen positive despite announcement revealing millions in losses

According to Voetbal international, SC Heerenveen suffered a loss of just under three million euros in the 2023-24 financial year. The Frisians hope to reduce the operational deficit, which amounts to 4.7 million euros including transfers, in the coming years.

Heerenveen’s equity at the end of the financial year amounted to 20.5 million euros and 2.5 million euros of liquid assets were available. The operational deficit including transfers decreased to 4.7 million euros.

This is an improvement compared to last year, when the operational deficit was 7.1 million euros. The operating result after transfers was 5.4 million euros. The target for the financial year 2024-25 is to further reduce the operational deficit to 2.9 million euros.
