Anderlecht have received some positive news regarding their 19 year-old defender Zeno Debast. The Belgian international picked up an injury that forced him off the pitch against Charleroi, with many worried that the talented youngster would be out for some time. However, as Het Nieuwsblad are reporting, the injury is not as bad as at first feared and the defender should be back in the middle of January.
Debast has been a positive story in an otherwise negative season for the Belgian giants. The teenager impressed enough to receive a call up to the Red Devils squad for the Qatar World Cup, however he did not feature in a single game as Belgium crashed out in the group stages.
The Mauves are currently 11th in the Pro League, with just 23 points from 18 matches. They managed to pick up their first win under new head coach Brian Riemer with a late win against Charleroi on Boxing Day.
