Gent have announced the signing of young Ivorian striker Hyllarion Goore from Armenian side FC Ararat Yerevan. The 19-year-old forward has been given the number 45 shirt and signed a contract until 2028. Goore joins the side with some impressive statistics from this season. In just 14 games for his now former side he scored six goals and provided one assist.
Gent have brought Goore in to partner with their other January signing Dante Vanzeir. The club have wanted to bring in a striker to partner with the former Union St Gilloise as they look to deploy a two striker formation. Vanzeir did well during his time in Brussels when partnered with another forward, which in past years was Deniz Undav.
Gent have struggled to find someone who can score regular goals this season upfront. The hope is that Vanzeir will return to the form he had shown during his time with Union, while they hope that Goore can provide the perfect foil to him.
