Gent and Union St Gilloise join Burnley in pursuit of Noah Sadiki

Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Gent and Union St Gilloise are interested in Anderlecht defender Noah Sadiki. The Mauves recently rejected a bid of €1m from Vincent Kompany’s Burnley, as they are reportedly looking for between €1.5-2m. 18-year-old Sadiki made 12 Pro League appearances for the side last season, starting four games and providing one assist. Sadiki also made three appearances in the Europa Conference League, with one of those being a start. Overall he has made 19 first team appearances for Anderlecht. He has also been capped by the Belgian U19 side.

The problem that Anderlecht have is that the teenagers contract expires at the end of the 2023/2024 season. With talks on a new deal having stalled, they now risk losing the player for very little if they are not able to sell this summer.

In terms of incomings, the side are still waiting for the arrival of Kasper Dolberg, who is expected to sign soon.
