Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that Genk are one of a number of sides interested in signing Ferencvarosโ French striker Lenny Joseph. It is not yet clear whether or not Joseph would be open to a move to Belgium, but Genkโs track record of bringing players in and selling them to top five leagues may well tempt the 25-year-old into moving to Belgium
Formerly of Metz and Le Puy, Joseph joined the Hungarian side in January 2025 from Grenoble. Since then he has gone on to score 12 goals in 41 games. Joseph is a versatile forward, able to play out wide as well as upfront. After six goals in 13 games last season, the striker has reached six goals in 28 games so far this campaign. This season and the previous one have been his best in terms of goal scoring at senior level.]
Genk are currently struggling to return to European football, having started the Pro League season poorly. Their inconsistent form has left them sitting in 11th place, closer to the relegation zone than the top six. Genk have already seen two players leave this January, with Luca Oyen moving to the Eredivisie and Patrik Hrysovsky returning to Czechia.
