Genk move quickly to replace Daniel Munoz after Crystal Palace transfer

Genk have moved quickly to find a replacement for Daniel Munoz after the star Colombian right-back joined Premier League side Crystal Palace. In his place, Genk have turned to Ken Nkuba of Charleroi. The young versatile wide man has joined for a fee in the region of €3m, leaving the Zebras after 61 appearances and five goals.

Unfortunately, Nkuba’s playing time this season has been severely restricted because of injuries. Once tipped to be a future star in Belgium, injuries have hampered him so far. However, a move to a new club may well help him discover his potential. After making his debut for the Zebras in 2018, the winger was also capped by the Belgian U21 side.

Nkuba offers Genk some flexibility as well, being able to play further forward as an out and out winger. He should certainly be able to fill the attacking boots left by Munoz, who was arguably the best right-back in the league for the past few seasons. Charleroi have also themselves moved to replace Nkuba by signing Jeremy Petris from Levski Sofia.
