Genk may be without Daniel Munoz for Standard Liege clash

Het Belgan van Limberg are reporting that there was no Daniel Munoz at training for Genk on Wednesday. The 26-year-old Colombian full-back was training alone indoors as the medical staff look to monitor an injury to his hamstring. With the league leaders not playing till Sunday, Munoz does have extra time to recover before the side face Standard Liege.

Munoz has been the best performing right-back in the Belgian Pro League this season. In 30 league games the Colombian international has scored seven goals and provided seven assists.

After their late win against OH Leuven at the weekend, Genk remain top with just a three point lead over second placed Union St Gilloise. With just three games left of the regular season, the side will be looking to try and built that lead as much as possible before the points are halved going into the play-offs.

Their opponents on Sunday, Standard, are currently five points off of the top four, needing to win out their remaining games if they are to have any chance at making play-off one.
