Genk linked with Slavia Praha’s Nigerian attacker Yira Sor

HLN are reporting that Genk are interested in signing Slavia Praha’s Nigerian winger Yira Sor. Sor has only made 9 appearances for the Czech side this year, scoring twice during the Europa League qualifiers. In two seasons in the Czech capital the Nigerian has played 26 games, scoring 9 goals and providing three assists.

22 year-old Sor has been capped twice by the Nigerian under 20’s and can play on the wing and upfront. He began his career with 36 Lions FC before joining Banik Ostrava, where he played 5 games for the B team and 29 games for the first team. Sor scored four goals and provided six assists in the 29 matches.

Genk are currently top of the league and into the quarter finals of the domestic cup after beating Anderlecht 1-0. Under new boss Wouter Vrancken the side have only lost one game and have the leagues best attack and best defence.
