Genk join Watford and Swansea in tracking Roma’s on loan USMNT full-back Bryan Reynolds

According to La Repubblica, Genk are interested in Westerlo’s on loan USMNT full-back Bryan Reynolds. The 21-year-old is on loan from Roma, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Kortrijk. It is also reported that Westerlo have a purchase option of €7m, a price that is probably too steep despite their sale of Lyle Foster to Burnley during the winter. Reynolds has made 26 appearances in all competitions for Westerlo, scoring once and providing two assists.

League leaders Genk are not the only side to be reportedly interested in the young full-back. Sparta Prague, Watford and Swansea are all showing interest in Reynolds. It appears that Roma will be willing to sell the full-back, as they don’t see him as part of their future plans and will then be able to use the money to reinvest in the squad.

Reynolds played the full 90 minutes for the USMNT in their 7-1 win over Granada in the CONCACAF Nations League. He lined up alongside Mark McKenzie of Genk, who could be a future team mate should he join the Belgian league leaders in the summer.
