Fresh reports reveal Utrecht and Borussia Dortmund reach loan agreement for Sébastien Haller

According to reports from Voetbal International, FC Utrecht and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement on the transfer of Sébastien Haller (30).

The striker will reportedly be loaned from the German club for six months and is therefore expected to return to the Netherlands soon. Spanish sources reported that a breakthrough was made on Tuesday evening.

Haller, who made a big impression at Utrecht and scored 30 goals in 65 league games between 2015 and 2017, played an important role in making his transfer possible. While previously, it had been reported that a move for Haller was simply too expensive for Utrecht, the French striker made it known to Dortmund that he wanted to find the joy in football again with the Domstedelingen.

The 27-time Ivorian international has been on loan from BVB to Spanish CD Leganés since the summer and has failed to score this season.

Utrecht’s all-out approach for Haller speaks volumes about the team’s aspirations. Ron Jans’ side are currently in third place, three points behind second-place Ajax, and are firmly in the running for Champions League qualification.
