Four games without a win for Club Brugge as Aboubakary Koita scores again

Sint-Truiden left the Jan Breydal with a point as they ensured Club Brugge went four games without a win. In each of their previous matches the score has finished 1-1 for the men in black and blue. After an even first half they took the lead through their star player Andreas Skov Olsen after a great cross from Maxim De Cuyper. The 23-year-old Dane Skov Olsen has now scored six goals in nine matches in the league.

However, he remains one goal behind Sint-Truiden’s leading man Aboubakary Koita. The 25-year-old equalised with a well placed shot to grab his seventh goal of the season. He has now equaled his best ever scoring season, which came in 2020/2021 but took 27 games to get to. The Canaries haven’t lost for four games either, with three draws and one win in that time. Two of those draws came against title chasing sides in Genk and Club Brugge.

Sint-Truiden are currently seventh in the table and will face top of the league Union St Gilloise next weekend. Club Brugge will travel to Norway to face FK Bodø/Glimt in the Europa Conference League. The entertaining side from the north of Norway drew their opening game 0-0, with Club Brugge drawing their opener 1-1 with Beşiktaş.
