Former Wolves, Brighton and Huddersfield winger extends stay with Beerschot for another year

Beerschot have announced that winger Rajiv Van La Parra will stay with the club for another season. The 33-year-old arrived in the winter signed a short-term deal until the end of the current season. Despite the club looking set to be relegated after just one season back in the top flight. the experienced winger has clearly impressed the side enough for them to pick up the option in his contract for an extra year.

Van La Parra has a wealth of experience, having played for a number of clubs during his career. After breaking through at SC Heerenveen, the winger moved to Wolves in the summer of 2014. He played just over 50 games for the side, spending a brief period on loan at Brighton during the 2015/2016 season. In the summer of 2016 he moved to Huddersfield, playing over 90 times and scoring seven goals. He left England n the summer of 2019, going on to play for sides in Germany, Cyprus and Serbia. In 2023 he returned to Dutch football with Almere City, spending one year with the club. He played 48 games last season, scoring five goals. So far, the 33-year-old has played six games for struggling Beerschot.
