Former Leicester City prospect Kamal Sowah’s time at Club Brugge appears to be up

According to Het Nieuwsblad, Club Brugge are looking to sell Ghanaian international Kamal Sowah in the summer. The former Leicester attacker cost the side €9m back in summer of 2021. Sowah had impressed during his second spell with OH Leuven, however he failed to cement a place in the side during his first season. Instead, he was sent on loan to AZ Alkmaar during the January transfer window. The 23-year-old made 11 appearances for the Dutch side, failing to score and providing one assist.

Under new head coach Carl Hoefkens, Sowah regained his place in the side an put in a number of strong performances during the Champions League campaign. However, he has been out of favour under both Scott Parker and Rik De Mil. During his short career with Club Brugge, Sowah has made 53 appearances, scoring twice and providing five assists.

Sowah joins the likes of Dedryk Boyata and Faitout Maouassa on the transfer list at the side this summer as they look to refresh the squad.
