Former Leicester City favourite scores on injury return to help Sint-Truiden to extra-time cup win

Shinji Okazaki returned from injury to help Sint-Truiden avoid a cup exit to second tier side Francs Borains. After a 0-0 90 minutes, the former Leicester City attacker scored the sides second goal in extra-time. Before then, Kahveh Zahiroleslam had got his first goal for the club just five minutes into extra-time.

The Challenger Pro League side had Levi Malungu sent off late on, with Jarne Steuckers making it 3-0 from the penalty spot late on. Recently promoted Francs Borains have been struggling in recent weeks, slipping to 14th in the league table. The side have won three of their 10 games, with one draw and six defeats.

For Sint-Truiden, they have grabbed back to back wins ahead of a clash with Eupen on Friday night. Both sides are expected to be in the battle to avoid the drop this season so a result for either could go a long way to guaranteeing safety.
