Zulte Waregem have confirmed that former Antwerp winger Nill De Pauw is currently on trial at the club. De Pauw, who was released by Antwerp in the summer, having joined the club in the summer of 2020. The winger had played for Zulte Waregem in 2017, after two seasons in France with Guingamp. During his time with Zulte Waregem he played 82 games, scoring 14 goals and providing 19 assists.
Prior to joining Antwerp, De Pauw spent time in Turkey and Greece. During his time with Antwerp, the former Democratic Republic of Congo international played 26 games over two seasons with the Great Old, scoring once and providing two assists.
De Pauw could offer Zulte Waregem versatility, being able to play on both the left and the right. The club have not yet made a decision on whether or not they will offer a contract to the 32 year-old, which will likely be a deal until the end of the season. Mbaye Leye’s side are in 16th place in the Pro League, three points away from safety.
