Former Ajax keeper loaned out again by Borussia Dortmund

Former Ajax goalkeeper Diant Ramaj will leave Borussia Dortmund on loan, the German branch of Sky Sports confirmed on Friday. The goalkeeper will play for fellow Bundesliga club FC Heidenheim until the end of the season, despite the club failing to secure a purchase option.

Ramaj signed a contract in Dortmund until the summer of 2029, although he struggled to find game time at the Westfalenstadion. Following his arrival, the goalkeeper was immediately loaned to FC Copenhagen until the end of the 2024-25 season.

In an interview with BILD, the 23-year-old Ramaj stated that he considers himself the greatest young German goalkeeping talent. โ€œAmong the young talents, Iโ€™m number one. If you also include the older generation, Neuer is clearly the best.โ€

โ€œThen come goalkeepers like Ter Stegen, Nรผbel, and Baumann. But I donโ€™t compare myself to them; I mainly look at the young goalkeepers. Itโ€™s about the future, not the past.โ€

The former Ajax man previously played one season in Heidenheimโ€™s youth team and also spent one season with the first team.
