Former Ajax and Bayer Leverkusen defender Daley Sinkgraven joins Fortuna Sittard

Eredivisie outfit Fortuna Sittard have announced the permanent signing of Daley Sinkgraven. The former Ajax full-back has signed a one-and-a-half-year deal with the club following the termination of his contract at LaLiga club Las Palmas.

Daley Sinkgraven, 29, started his career at Heerenveen before joining Ajax in 2015. In total he featured 86 times for the Amsterdam club over five seasons. A move to Bayer Leverkusen followed, where he played 78 times across all competitions. Sinkgraven has spent this season at Las Palmas, but a lack of game time has led to the termination of his contract.

After a few beautiful and educational years in Germany and Spain, it feels good to return to the Eredivisie,’ Sinkgraven said on his return to Dutch football. ‘I know the competition well and have been able to experience it for several wonderful years. Now I look forward to adding a new, successful period to that together with Fortuna.’
