Ajax will travel to Norway hoping that their late first leg rescue mission will carry over into the second leg. The side came back from 2-0 to make it 2-2 and travel to Norway without a mountain to climb.
Despite having gone without a win over their past four games, the side from Amsterdam will see be seen as favourites when they face a FK Bodø/Glimt who are strong at home. The Norwegian side have only lost once at home in the Europa Conference League this season, which was a group game against Club Brugge.
At the weekend, Ajax again slipped up in a game that they should have won. At home against NEC Nijmegen they surrendered a 2-1 lead deep into added time. Jordan Henderson wore the armband for the clash, but is still yet to win his first game since swapping Saudi-Arabia for the Eredivisie.
For the hosts, their league is yet to start as they are still in the midst of the 2024 pre-season. In order to remain sharp for the European competition, they have been playing friendlies against a number of clubs such as RB Salzburg, Malmo FF and Sparta Prague.
