Feyenoord will focus on reinforcements for four positions this summer, according to Voetbal International. The transfer market is expected to explode in a busy period at De Kuip in the coming weeks.
Initially, Feyenoord wanted reinforcements in five positions, but the acquisition of Sem Steijn has already filled one of the those. For the defence, Feyenoord still want a replacement for David Hancko. The Slovakian defender himself is said to have already completed a transfer to the Saudi Al Nassr, where he can earn six million euros per year. Feyenoord want a left-footed centre-back to cater to his absence.
A new left-back also needs to come to De Kuip as a competitor for Givairo Read, while an extra midfielder will have to arrive to compensate for Ramiz Zerrouki’s exit. Luciano Valente is in the picture for this, and the talks with FC Groningen are in full swing.
Finally, Feyenoord wants a new winger who can be there when Igor Paixão leaves Rotterdam. The Brazilian has been linked to Marseille, Brighton, and Napoli.
