Feyenoord are showing strong interest in Anderlecht defender Killian Sardella, according to Sacha Tavolieri. The 21-year-old right-back is seen as a suitable successor to Lutsharel Geertruida, who is currently in the interest of RB Leipzig. Feyenoord defender Marcus Pedersen is a transfer target for VfL Wolfsburg this summer. If either or both of the defenders depart De Kuip this summer, Arne Slot will need a new, solid defender to enter the squad selection.
Sardella featured 25 times for Anderlecht last season. Just like Geertruida, the defender is incredibly versatile. The Belgian U21 international can play as a right-back, left-back or centre-back. Sardella can also contribute at the other end of the pitch. He scored three goals and provided two assists last season.
Feyenoord are yet to make an offer for the right-back. The youngster’s current contract at Anderlecht is valid until 2025. He’s also one of the club’s most exciting prospects, which could make it a difficult deal for Feyenoord. If the Dutch club lose a defender or two this summer, Killian Sardella could be a brilliant replacement.
