VI are reporting that Antoni Milambo is set for a €20m move to Premier League side Brentford in the coming days. The fee, which does not include bonuses, has been agreed between Feyenoord and the London side and following the Dutch U21 sides exit from the U21 Euros, Milambo can now make his move to England.
The 20-year-old midfielder had a real breakout season for Feyenoord last year. In 42 games for the side across both the Eredivisie and Champions League, Milambo grabbed seven goals and seven assists. Three of those goals came during the Champions League campaign. Milambo came through the Feyenoord academy and made his senior debut as a teenager during the 2021/2022 season. He will leave the Eredivisie side having made 60 appearances in total for the side.
With the departure of Milambo imminent, Robin van Persie will hope that the club reinvest the money to ensure the side can challenge the likes of PSV and Ajax for the Eredivisie title next season. Last year they finished third, 11 points off the eventual champions PSV.
