Feyenoord join Leicester City, Lorient and Toulouse in race to sign Moroccan talent Ibrahim Salah from Rennes

According to L’Équipe, Feyenoord are interested in signing Moroccan talent Ibrahim Salah from Rennes. The current Eredivisie champions are the next side to have registered an interest in Salah after FC Lorient, Toulouse, Brest, Leicester City and Olympiacos.

Ibrahim Salah has featured just 24 times in Ligue 1 since his €6.5m move from Gent in January 2023. The 22-year-old can play anywhere across the front line and still hasn’t been used enough in an underachieving Rennes side. Feyenoord have already made contact with Rennes, who are willing to let the Belgian-born talent leave on loan this month.

Salah made a remarkable impact for Rennes at the start of the season, as he scored a brace during his seven minute cameo in their opening game of the season against FC Metz. Since November 12th, he’s played just thirteen minutes of football in Ligue 1.

Feyenoord could do with some extra attacking threat, as they’re struggling to replicate last season’s incredible title charge. Arne Slot’s side are currently second in the Eredivisie table, ten points off PSV Eindhoven in top spot. If they want Ibrahim Salah’s signature, they’ll have to fight off competition from several other top sides.
